ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that Houston Rockets center Clint Capela has returned and, barring any setbacks, will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
Capela has not played since January 13 , versus the Orlando Magic, after suffering an injury to his right thumb that required surgery to repair ligament damage. The team 9-6 during his absence.
His return comes at a great time for Houston, as the 17.6 points per game can help ease some of the considerable offensive load James Harden has been carrying over the last 31games. He will also be a help on the defensive end with his rim protecting.
